St. Seraphim’s valuable heritage has been recognised with a phase one development pass from the Heritage Lottery Fund. During the coming year, people will be chosen to carry out work, such as an icon conservator, who will work on both Iconography and Railway heritage. The aim is to set up a centre for the study of icons with a display area and space to carry out icon painting workshops. Railway artefacts shall be exhibited and the platform will be restored to the days of the train.
